  I was given the opportunity to review a new movie called, Journey to Bethlehem.  Journey to Bethlehem is a story about a young woman who is carrying an unimaginable responsibility. A young man is torn between love and honor. A jealous King who will stop at nothing to keep his position as King. This live-action musical is great for the entire family. Classic Christmas melodies with humor, faith, and new pop songs as they retell one of the greatest stories ever told, the story of Mary and Joseph and the birth of Jesus. This is definitely a unique new entry into the collection of holiday classic movies, this epic Christmas Musical is like any before it.   This is my review regarding the Southern Gospel movie.  Many thanks to BMG for providing a sample of the product for this review. Opinions are 100% my own. Samuel Allen, a 1960s rockstar ends up in jail after performing at a nightclub. He had been struggling with years of anger and blame on organized religious leaders which led him to a path of rebellion. He was given a second chance to change his ways after the judge preceding his case drop the charges with the condition that Samuel speaks to the local schools and churches about the dangers of drugs. Samuel follows in his father's footsteps and becomes a preacher. He also had to overcome some challenges with a church leader who had a personal vendetta against his family. Southern Gospel is about a man overcoming brokenness and loss, but all of that brought him to the gospel. This movie spoke to my heart about not giving up on my dreams.
